Nextbase 312GW Dashcam – The One That I Bought

The Nextbase 312GW  is probably the most popular Dashcam Under £100.00 and quite deservedly so.Nextbase 312GW rec't

I’m not saying that there aren’t some points against it but if you are not worried by these then this could well be the one to get.

Just in case you think that I have this one because I got it free here is a copy of the invoice.

And if you don’t believe me you can se it in the front of my car – any time.

The model was voted Which Best Buy and also Sun (Newspapers) Motors Best buy so it can’t be bad.

So lets take a look at it.

Nextbase 312 GW

So What’s so Good About it?

The 312 is a camera loaded with features in  addition to the standard bells and whistles you’d expect .

It takers no time at all to install all you need is a 12v supply point and somewhere to stick the sucker mounting.

Unlike many Dashcams where the sucker has to be removed when you want to take the camera out of your vehicle the 312 has a magnetic attachment to the sucker unit.

It can be in and out in seconds.

Another top feature is the WiFi capability. This allows you to download video to your smart phone, friends and family or police.

Like other dashcams it can provide valuable evidence in any accident dispute.

The ability to be left on when the car is parked ( provided you have access to an uninterrupted 12 supply) may provide you with evidence of about the damage caused whilst you were away from the vehicle.

If this is important to you , you should make sure that you have access to this type of supply. Some cars may have to be hard wired whilst others have suitable supply sockets.

Great Picture Quality

If you’re like me the part of the spec that says that this little fella will give High res 1080 60fps video may not mean much.

Nextbase 312 GWIt will become obvious when you look at the picture quality which is outstanding.

The only problem may be that the lens of the camera is at best more than an inch from the windscreen and this contributes to a slight reduction of picture quality at night.

Also there may be some glare in bright directional light at night.

But these aside it’s a great clear Picture.

On left you can see the camera being removed from the magnetic mount quickly and simply.
